Texts: Jude 2, Matthew 18:21–35

Jude 2 says “May mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you.” Our first focus of study this week from Jude’s benediction is Mercy, or elēos (ἔλεος) in the original Greek. The lexicons define elēos, “to show kindness or concern for someone in serious need.” Here we will further study the meaning and application of mercy from God’s holy Word. Mercy, which comes from God to man, and also goes from man to man.
